Hassen Hussen

Hassen is a dedicated cybersecurity and system administration expert known for his impactful work in customizing and developing ICT systems. At WGCFNR, he has successfully designed and implemented several practical and mission-driven systems that address real operational needs. With a deep understanding of system security, performance optimization, and user-centered design, Hassen ensures that every solution is both secure and functional. His contributions not only strengthen institutional capacity but also support digital transformation in both faith-based and academic environments.

Addisu Bole

Addisu is a multifaceted professional serving as a Lecturer, Developer, Researcher, and Consultant at Hawassa University Wondo Genet College of Forestry and Natural Resources. As the ICT Office Coordinator and a founding member of the Forestry Knowledge Management Center, he leads digital transformation efforts in forestry education and research. With expertise in Information Science and Computer Science, he also plays a key role in developing systems like the MRV and Landscape Change Tracking System. His work in software development, teaching, and research drives sustainable forestry, knowledge sharing, and capacity building.

 

Getachew Kumera

Getachew is exceptional professional and a driving force in Ethiopia's tech and academic landscape! His impressive track record of designing and implementing over 12 custom systems demonstrates his expertise in software development and his ability to solve real-world problems through innovation.

As a consultant and staff member at Hawassa University, he not only contributes to digital transformation but also plays a key role in capacity building, helping to nurture the next generation of tech talent in Ethiopia. His passion for coding, problem-solving, and research makes him a valuable asset in both academic and industry settings.

 

 

GIS Team

Eshetu Gebre

Eshetu is a lecturer at Hawassa University and works with various stakeholders as an expert, researcher, and consultant. In addition, Eshetu is a member of the GIS technical team at the Forestry Knowledge Management Center at Wondo Genet College of Forestry and Natural Resources. Eshetu holds a BSc degree in Natural Resources Management and an MSc in GIS and Remote Sensing. Eshetu's experience lies in geospatial-based natural resource management for to bring sustainable development. His professional interests include collaborating with different stakeholders in Ethiopia, particularly in the context of forest landscape restoration, climate change, forest carbon finance, and MRV based System development.

Habitamu Tadesse(PhD)

Dr. Habitmu is a committed academic and researcher specializing in Geographic Information Science (GIS) and Remote Sensing at Hawassa University Wondo Genet College of Forestry and Natural Resources. As a lecturer, consultant, and community engagement expert, he bridges advanced spatial technologies with real-world applications in research and education. His work focuses on spatial data Infrastructure, modeling, and sustainable development, contributing to innovative solutions in natural resource management and environmental conservation.

 

Kefyalew Sahle
